pronubes Release 1.4

With pronubes 1.4, inray is specifically expanding the platform to enhance transparency, governance, and secure external connectivity. After all, as industrial IT/OT landscapes continue to grow, it becomes increasingly important to be able to track system events and integrate external partners, suppliers, or AI applications without exposing one’s own production environment.
This is exactly where Version 1.4 comes in: With the new AuditLog and the REST Tunneling feature, companies gain two tools that consistently advance pronubes as a central data hub for data-driven production.
In summary: pronubes 1.4 makes system activities visible while also providing a controlled way to securely integrate external systems—without the need for traditional VPN connections or inbound firewall rules.
AuditLog – Traceability as the Foundation for Security and Governance
The new AuditLog centrally documents everything that happens within the pronubes environment. User activities such as logins and accesses, connection events, and remote accesses are clearly recorded and can be specifically reviewed in the event of anomalies. This provides a reliable foundation for audits, security analyses, and backup and restore processes, as it makes it easier to analyze and classify system failures and recovery operations retrospectively.
REST Tunneling – Securely Connecting External Systems
REST Tunneling allows you to configure defined REST interfaces and selectively make them available to external applications. This enables partners, suppliers, or enterprise applications to retrieve data or transmit it via webhooks without having to set up direct access to the internal production network. Internal IT and OT systems remain shielded from the outside, as only the explicitly authorized endpoints are accessible. This also makes the feature attractive for connecting AI services that are intended to access clearly defined data sets.
Practical Application: Data Flow from Outside to Inside
A typical scenario: An external system or a supplier provides status updates, order data, or quality information. Via a defined REST endpoint, this data is securely transmitted to pronubes, where it is standardized, combined with data from other sources, and made available for production processes, workflows, or AI scenarios—without requiring comprehensive network access.
Conclusion
Version 1.4 makes pronubes more transparent, traceable, and secure when connecting to external data streams. While the AuditLog ensures governance, security, and controlled monitoring, REST tunneling enables the secure integration of external systems and AI applications—in a controlled and traceable manner, without the need for traditional VPN connections.
